Plot: Ryan Reynolds stars as Will Hayes, a 30-something Manhattan dad in the midst of a divorce when his 10-year-old daughter, Maya (Abigail Breslin), starts to question him about his life before marriage. ...( read more read more... ) Maya wants to know absolutely everything about how her parents met and fell in love. Will's story begins in 1992, as a young, starry-eyed aspiring politician who moves to New York from Wisconsin in order to work on the presidential campaign. For Maya, Will relives his past as an idealistic young man learning the ins and outs of big city politics, and recounts the history of his romantic relationships with three very different women. Will hopelessly attempts a gentler version of his story for his daughter and changes the names so Maya has to guess who is the woman her father finally married. Is her mother Will's college sweetheart, the dependable girl next door Emily (Elizabeth Banks)? Is she his longtime best friend and confidante, the apolitical April (Isla Fisher)? Or is she the free-spirited but ambitious journalist Summer (Rachel Weisz)? As Maya puts together the pieces of her dad's romantic puzzle, she begins to understand that love is not so simple or easy. And as Will tells her his tale, Maya helps him to understand that it's definitely never too late to go back...and maybe even possible to find a happy ending.

    Pretty cute,I thought it was going to deal with him and his daughter more than it did his career and all.But I love the cast and it's a very sweet story.

    This was a pretty cute and engaging story about how an inquisitive girl's Dad met her Mother, who are not going through a divorce. The movie lacks comedy but makes for a good, and mostly believable drama. I just don't completely agree with the direction it goes but admit that the couple who ends up together share pretty good chemistry.

    Cute film. My friend told me I HAD to see it, despite the fact that I thought the trailer gave away everything. It didn't.

    Above average romance with a very likable cast, though I'm a little tired of the oft-used "precocious child" character who's way more witty and insightful than he/she should be. I didn't love the ending, though I understand why they went the way they did. **SPOILER** Endings where the main character doesn't find love can be pretty dissatisfying - it's a tricky way to end, so I'm not surprised they didn't do that. It just felt a little forced. And could April really have stayed single after all that time? **SPOILER**

    well I watched, I like it very much because in fact it just reflect my life, i have such a problem, i don t know who is the person i really love... I love many girls at the same time and the problem is that m not a jeurk, i treat them very well and i have different feelings for each one :) if i just can mix them and make a perfect girl :)
